I know there must be a whole bunch of other stuff to do, but I can't think of anything! Help me! Sarah and Charlene, this means you. Please tell me what I am forgetting.
okay just for you I took a look at my ridiculously thorough to-do list from before I left. these are some things that would apply to you too:
- get some pounds before you go, in the states, so you don't have to worry about it there when you get out of the airport and need a taxi.
- STA travel card ($26 at an STA store, for ID and discounts)
- make copies of all your important documents (credit cards, passport, ID, etc. etc)
- get addresses from people for postcards
- bring pictures from home with you, for if you get lonely, and/or to show in your room
- don't bring a billion tampons with you... EAP told us they don't have the same kinds in Spain, but they totally do. I'm sure it's the same in England.
- bring your flip flops and shorts and other American clothing. they do wear them in Europe too. EAP lies.
- buy vitamins to bring with you, because we get absolutely 0 nutrition here, and London might be similar. not as bad as Spain probably.
- figure out your money/banking situation (if you have BofA, which I think you do, go to Barclays to get money out) because they charge you so much money to use ATMs abroad and change the currency.
- call your credit cards/debit cards to let them know you'll be using them in Europe, so they don't cancel them because of what they think are stolen charges.
- personal property insurance for laptop? I don't know if my mom ever ended up doing that, but it's on my list.
and that's all. you probably didn't want that much advice. but I was just going through my list.
oh and BRING AN UMBRELLA. and towels. and get excited!!

yeah apparently it rains a lot in london. so remember the umbrella.
just make sure you take a picture of your sister with you and you're set!
And a picture of your Mommy (which is better than the one you took last night!).
Oh, and item #8 on Sarah's list - the Vitamins - that's OK, I won't say I told you so. Thank you, Sarah, for the validation.
